The question we must ask ourselves is who are the chronically poor, what do we know about them, and why. Solutions for solving chronic poverty can be found in the Second Chronic Poverty Report. Because of previous analysis, the likely impacts of chronically poor involve recession. However, due to better understanding individual recessions, we can identify solutions.
This presentation is based on AMA Innovation Lab projects for the Poverty Traps Conference. This conference is a gathering point for USAID and other development assistant agencies to connect the poor to economic growth.
This presentation was presented on February 26, 2009 by The Chronic Poverty Research Center at Washington, DC.
