Governmental policies can have a huge impact on people's livelihoods in the form of orienting, limiting or expanding peoples choices, and empowering or dis-empowering these same people. Nevertheless, when a broad-based stakeholder gets involved and participates, the result of both government and outside stakeholder involvement is a more sustainable outcome encouraging better environment, social engagement, and economics.
This presentation is based on AMA Innovation Lab projects for the Poverty Traps Conference. This conference is a gathering point for USAID and other development assistant agencies to connect the poor to economic growth.
