Mark Schneider is a senior research associate with the Center for the Economic Analysis of Risk (CEAR) at Georgia State University. His current research measures individual and group literacy in financial and other domains including risk, insurance and health. His work in experimental economics has included the elicitation of subjective beliefs, risk and time preferences with entrepreneurs and the urban poor. Schneider received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Cape Town for his dissertation which develops and applies these new methods of measuring financial literacy.
