Event Date
In 2023, the Resilience Hub will return to the 8th Conference of Parties (COP28) to the Climate Convention in Dubai, UAE, with a mission to further accelerate the ambition, action and investment that is urgently needed on adaptation and resilience, from now through 2030.
The Resilience Hub brings together a global community with diverse perspectives and experiences to share knowledge, co-create solutions and catalyze action. As the main pavilion for climate resilience and adaptation at COP, the Hub aims to drive the conversation and agenda around resilience and place locally-informed, equitable resilience solutions for people and nature at the heart of the COP process. It also aims to amplify the local voices of the most vulnerable and climate affected through the incorporation of Regional Hubs as an integral part of the programming and delivery of the Resilience Hub.
The MRR Innovation Lab is pleased to be co-leading the Food and Agriculture theme at the COP28 Resilience Hub to increase the focus on building resilience to help people cope with the impacts of climate change. Through multiple sessions hosted throughout the COP, this track hopes to focus attention on creating a pathway to a resilient agri-food system that puts people and the environment at its center and requires inclusive and holistic approaches. It builds on multiple types of knowledge (for example, local, traditional, academic and official), meets the needs of the most vulnerable and fragile regions, and leads to improved access to finance and digital opportunities, innovation and scaling of nature-based solutions.
Livestream of the event will be available here.
