Todd Swarthout’s research interests involve experimental economics, game theory, and auctions. His current research activities are focused on insurance purchasing behavior, mechanism design, strategic interaction in competitive games, and procurement auctions. He is also involved in developing software technology for use in economics education. His work has received funding from the National Science Foundation. Swarthout received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Arizona.
